This is my play

  1. Lilia, OK first let me get some criticisms out of the way. First, I feel that your play's characters all have similar voices. It is clear that they each have individual personalities, but it seems to me that they speak with a similar tone. Next, You may have transformed the characters a little too much. I appreciate a tasteful adjustment to the classical myths, but, in my humble opinion, you may have taken it a bit too far. On a brighter note, your mastery of the stage work shines through. It is very evident that you know what you are doing and that you have a clear picture of how you want all of the settings and actions to look from the audience's perspective. Also, it is a light, yet thoughtful play which is bordering comedy( which I enjoy very much). Overall, I think your play would be wonderful if performed on a stage.

  2. Lilia,
I really enjoyed the comedic tone that this play held - it made it much easier to follow and for that I thank you. I like the idea of therapy as a setting, as it does a wonderful job of expressing the various characters' ideas and tendencies. You did quite a good job of incorporating bits of each character's back story into the conversation, and demonstrated a clear understanding of the plots. The one criticism I will give you is that I don't feel you fully represented the opinions of each of the protagonists; they all sounded quite similar in conversation. While their pasts clearly contrasted one another in the way they acted, none of them expressed any deeper, original thoughts as to what it means to be human. Other than that, I thought the play was excellent. Well done!
