  1. Chris,

I really enjoy what you did with your play. At first I wasn't sure what to expect, but once I got into it I couldn't help but laugh. You really captured the ideas of each of the characters, and you managed to make it funny in the process. I really commend you for that. I like how you made Gilgamesh refer to himself as "Gilgamesh" instead of using "I". I feel as though that really captures his character well. Your character development for Hamlet was spot on, too. It really sounded like the actual Hamlet was speaking. The setting was also really cool and interesting. At first I wasn't really sure where you would go with it, but it ended up as a great developmental "tool" for the main ideas. You did a fantastic job, and I'm sure Levin won't be disappointed!

  2. Chris,

I too enjoyed reading your play. I liked how much of the humor that was displayed in a sarcastic form. The instant humor was a hook the made me not only finish what I was reading, but enjoy it too. The best aspect of the play was that you focused on making a comical play but still successfully worked in the ideas and pasts of the characters. Also, you did a pretty good job in making each character have their own "voice" which only helped your story draw me in even more. Overall, a job well done!

  3. Chris!

This was awesome!! I loved the humor & how you actually incorporated the philosophies of each character. The title and setting both made me want to read your play and of course because it's yours I wanted to read it because I knew it would be hilarious. I also noticed how you added individual tones for each person, I particularly enjoyed Job's character. This was surprisingly good for an end-of-senior-year assignment. Props, dude.

  4. Chris,

I really liked how you also made your play into a comedy, which makes it a lot more interesting and enjoyable to read. You did a nice job accurately portraying each character's philosophy and views. You also gave each character an interesting, unique voice. The ropes course setting is very unique and not like anyone else's. The wide range of vocabulary you used throughout the play makes it really funny and this is definitely one of the best plays I read.
